"value priced used calculator"
Used TI-83 plus in excellent condition. I use rechargeable 1100 nimh batteries and these last a long time. Huge amount of functions. Great way to get a full featured calculator for budget price.

"TI-83 Calculator"
The item was delivered very fast and was delivered in good condition as expected. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Would recommend this seller to anyone.

"Broke and Dirty"
All I have to say is that the item came very dirty and I had to clean it up. Then the enter button stopped working after a couple of days. I would've returned it but my mom threw away the package it came in. I ended up getting a gift card from Target and used that to buy a new one. That's the disavantage of buying used.

"Graphing calculator"
it is what it is, it was new and I had to learn how to use it through a tutoring session for my statistics class but once I learned I was fine.

"A must-have for the pre-med student."
this calculator is extremely convenient to use and very useful, especially for undergraduate students taking classes such as chemistry, physics, etc.

What our customer's say!

"Would use this seller again", The product arrived fast, in new condition, included cables and battery, as described. It even included the training CD, not mentioned in the ad. Very happy with purchase.

"Economic Market Fail", The Ti-83 is an electronics marvel, it is the only piece of technology that stays in its original price range no matter how old it gets. These specs aren't just out of date, they're so old that you would expect them to be preceded by the phrase "remember when...."

The Ti-83 Plus came out in 1999. Aside from an extremely small amount of extra flash memory, it's the same as the Ti-83 released in 1996. And the Ti-83 itself is really not much different than the Ti-82 which came out in 1993. But somehow after all this time the price hasn't moved. Seriously, look at the listed specs: 16KB of RAM and "Big 160KB archive space." Are they kidding? That's so out of date that I can't even remember the last time I saw kilobytes used as a unit of measurement.

And talk about an awful, extremely low resolution display. This is the same 96x64 monochrome display from the original Ti-81 released in 1990. Decent displays cost almost nothing now. And it would be helpful to have a basic color display so you could have different colored lines when you mapped more than one function at at the same time.

Where does TI even find suppliers that make components this out of date? Actually, maybe that's why this thing is so expensive. The components are so old that scarcity is a big problem.

How TI has been able to dominate this market by selling extremely overpriced and out of date technology is amazing. The only good thing: if someone is ever trying to convince you that monopolies are good things that will lead to better products, just hold up your TI graphing calculator and you've won the debate.

"Excellent, speedy delivery of a great calculator.", I was impressed by the speed of the delivery and the care given to the packing. As far as the calculator and the cables, everything was perfect, and it has been perfect for my mathematics course.

"Great for Middle School + High School", This graphing calculator is what all Middle Schools and High Schools use for regents so if you want to get used to it ahead of time or just to practice at home I would definitely recommend it. I actually needed one at home for home work and stuff like. It is very efficient and from what i know from my friends its the only one that doesn't die on you within a few months or so. The only problem is that you dont get the plug in wire for it which is like 10 dollars on amazon, but other than that its fine. It would be nice to see amazon make a bundle like that. Just like i said its the perfect calculator for High School!

"Not bad but could be better", I am an assistant math teacher, I like students to have the TI-89. That is the calculator that I would best be able to support in teaching AP physics as it does what is needed at the AP Physics level. Please make your student's experience in any class more successful by getting the calculator the teacher recommends, as that is the calculator the teacher will be best able to help with. These calculators can be very confusing for students to learn, so using what the rest of the class is using is going to result in the greatest amount of learning possible. From my point of view, if your child's teacher asks you to get a TI 83 Plus, please get the 83 Plus. My physics students use the 83 Plus for data collection with a great deal of success, because that is the calculator I have time to support in the classroom. It is very difficult for the classroom teacher to properly support more than one graphing calculator in a given class.

"I am glad I purchased this 2nd hand calculator!", I bought the calculator from Abacus via Amazon.com. In 2-3 days, I received the calculator even though it came with the standard free mailing option. The calculator is in a really condition. It works well. The batteries of the calculator were also new. I am glad that I purchased this 2nd hand calculator instead of paying much more for a new one!

"Very Satisfied", This was truly a life saver for me; at the last minute my instructor states that we needed this calulator in order to past the course. The time frame it took to reach me was outstanding; was very pleased!

"A complete friggin joke.", Negative 5 stars. Lets be real people, the mere existence of this device is perturbing. It is the one electronic that has evolved absolutely none in 15 years and gone UP in price!! My friend bought one recently in a pinch, he thought it might help him with calculus. I figured it'd have some new chip technology and would graph at a reasonable rate. Both no. So then I downloaded a FREE graphing calculator app on my outdated Android phone. And it's friggin marvelous: instantaneous, intuitive, will do a 3d graph of x=sin(y) (3x faster than the ti does sin(x)) that rotates in full color with ability to pan and zoom on the touchscreen.

I can't even list all the advantages of an android/iPod over the TI's in this space, but what about battery, USB, internet, brightness, 192mb ram.. The TI-83 must be $3 to make by now with it's laughable 32kb!! of ram and 6 mhz processor. This makes my (dated!) phone exactly 88 times as fast with 6000 times the memory. I did that calculation on my phone and if I threw in a sin(x) at the end it would have automatically graphed 88sin(x) for sh!ts and giggles. Then I could zoom out 10 times, take a screenshot, and email it to you, just because I can (in 30 seconds). Hello! Note that even if I didn't opt for a cell plan I could still use wifi. Ahem. Wifi.

Shame on the people who keep this piece of junk in the school systems as a standard. Realistically, a dedicated device of this price today could be phenomenal. Apple should make one. TI is going to (and deserves to) be brutally trounced in the calculator market for this eventually, but in the mean time they're basically restricting learning in schools to be done at a snails pace with minute functionality for a large profit, and for the massive portion bought by the school system, at your expense.

"Texas Instruments TI-83", I was very satisfied with my purchase. The description was accurate and it was a good buy.

"Very Pleased", The shipping time was not too long and the calculator works as it was said to. It is used and has some marks and scratches, but I do not mind, it does the job.
