"Two kinds of Printwrorks transfer paper, two kinds of experiences"
Some of the reviews that I've read here sound like they are for the "other" type of Printworks transfer sheets. This product is for use on white or light colored shirts. The other product is for use on dark colored shirts.

This stuff is great! It is the best of the "reverse print" transfer sheets for home use. We've tried several different products over the last 10 years, and this is what we now use exclusively, and have for many years.

Now, for the other stuff (the dark fabric product), there are certainly problems with it cracking, looking like having a plastic bag ironed on your shirt, etc. The Printworks product for dark colored shirts is best for very small images, and it works quite well if you keep that in mind.

However, this product works fine with full sized (8.5" x 11") images if you follow the directions provided (it always helps!). Five stars for sure, just remember that no transfer paper is ever as good as silkscreened shirts. This is great for home use.

"Easy and simple"
I used these w/ a homemade shower curtain and it was great. I was not as excited when I used it on a t-shirt and then washed it, but I didn't prewash the t-shirt b/c I was just testing before I did the shower curtain. They were so easy to use. I did have trouble w/ my printer printing it. I guess they are hard on your printer I have now heard.

"You get what you pay for"
Burlington Iron-on transfers are exactly what you can expect from transfer papaer that is possibly the most inexpensive for its quantity.

The Goods:
-Easy to handle(good to go after one practice shirt)
-Will last a fair amount of time, if not washed too ofeten
-Color comparable to all other transfers out there
-Does not look as home made as some other tranfers can be

The Bads:
-If you wear your newly created shirt more 3 times or more a week, do not expect it to last more than a month without it being a crackly mess.
-Be cautious of over ironing the transfer image to shirt, will easily burn if you follow the directions.
-Cheap transfer material not as durable as some other higher priced transfers.

"non-washable plastic transfer"
This basically glues a plastic sheet to your shirt with your design printed on the plastic. Wearing it feels like you might imagine it would, and it doesn't survive washing very well, even if you wash it by hand very gently. The directions tell you to iron it for much longer than it can handle. If you do as you're told, you'll burn it.

"Prepare Yourself"
This is a good product at a good price. Got a few tips tho. Do not expect things to work on first try prefectly be prepared to waste a t shirt or test the paper on a pillow case. Cut close to the edge not right on or else it doesn't adhear properly causing it to wash off. Yellow oust side means you burnt it. All in all good product to try.

What our customer's say!

"Peeled off after first hand wash", I have made iron-on t-shirts for years with great success. Yes they do wear out fast if you use a washing machine. I only hand wash cold, inside out. I just used Printworks for the first time (they were on sale). It printed easy, ironed-on very nicely but when I washed it for the first time and let it air dry the graphic peeled off! I never had that happen before! Maybe it is bad quality paper, I don't know but won't buy it again.

"Very disappointing", I was very disappointed in this product.
The printing looks good, but after ONE wash it begins to crack, flake, and fade. I have used Avery product before and it did crack after several washing, but you can still see the iron-on pretty clearly. This product didn't even last two washings...washed in cool water with the shirt turned inside out.
The iron-on process doesn't go smoothly either. I had to iron for SO long to get the transfer made completely, that I ended up scorching a couple of them.
I would not recommend this product to anyone.

"AVERY IS MUCH BETTER", PAPER WAS NOT BRILLIANT WHEN HEATPRESSED. AVERY IS THE BEST
I HAVE USED SO FAR...

"OK, but", This was my first use of the newer style T-Shirt Transfers (my old ones were 5+ years ago). I liked the fact that they transfer WELL, almost Perfect. Color is great. What I did not like is it feels like a garbage bag stuck to the shirt, and after 2 washes started to wear.

"GOOD AT FIRST", I was so excited about these. I didn't have to waste any trying to figure them out. They are very easy to use. The pictures turned out great. (see customer images). Unfortunately, they don't wash well AT ALL. The first wash, they cracked up and now they look terrible. I washed them in Dreft on cold inside out and didn't even dry them and they are now Aweful! I really wouldn't recommend these. I am going to try the dark color ones since they have better reviews.

"Fun But Flawed", This paper is great for projects, simple to use, and inspiring. My problem with this product is that the transfer cracks after a few washings. I wouldn't recommend it for t-shirts or any fabric that gets thrown in the washer/dryer frequently.

"Washes well", These work and wear much better than Avery's iron-ons. Nice matte finish that washes well and feels like fabric (Avery's are slick and feel like plastic).

"Don't use on dark colored fabrics!", This item is for use only on light colored fabrics. If you want to put a transfer on a dark or medium color shirt, you'd need to use Burlington's Product #00529 instead (new item - apparently not currently carried by Amazon since I can't find it in a search.
