"Don't be over 5'3"..."
...at least, not very much over that height if you're not interested in contorting yourself into at least slightly uncomfortable positions in order to use this dolly. That's exactly my height, and I'm just able to pull this cart without having to slouch slightly; although, it seems that part of the problem is that the cart, whether you're pushing or pulling it, seems to have a tendency to want to upright itself. Beyond that, it's a perfectly serviceable cart if you don't demand too much of it. Just today, I used it to cart a 55 pound air conditioner from the pick-up point 8 blocks away, and then up 3 flights of stairs, and it came through just fine.

So yeah, be on the short side, and don't be afraid to bully it slightly to keep it in position.

It's not great, but it's good enough.

"TOO SHORT and WHEELS TOO FAR BACK....!"
This hand truck is way TOO SHORT and the wheels are TOO FAR BACK that it causes this hand truck to try and UP-RIGHT itself while pushing it... You have to use too much energy trying to keep the hand truck TILTED BACK, so it really doesn't make the job much easier.

If they make this hand truck about a FOOT taller to compensate for the WHEEL placement, or move the wheels forward, that would make BALANCING your load much better so not to have to FIGHT with this hand truck to keep it TILTED BACK while pushing.. Btw, I'm UNDER 6 feet tall ( 5'9 ), so my saying that it needs to be taller is NOT so to match my "TALL" height.

This hand truck is simply poorly designed and doesn't allow a person to BALANCE the WEIGHT unless you BEND OVER while you are pushing it.

I would NOT recommend this product, it's NOT worth the money!,, and I'm usually NOT this critical of the items I purchase.


"compact and useful"
My wife finds this convenient for moving her bags to and from the car. It holds a surprising amount of weight for something that folds up into such a small space. It only needs to be unfolded; no assembly was required.

"Magna Hand Truck"
Purchased this hand truck to help my daughter move in and out of her college dorm. Certainly strong enough to handle boxes full of books and other belongings. Love the way that it folds flat for transport.

"GREAT little folding hand truck"
I got tired of lifting my huge heavy steel handtruck into the back of the wagon to take big packages to the post. Ordered this one on a whim and am delighted with it. It is smaller and of course, not as stable or heavy duty as the old hardware store one, but it folds up beautifully, is easy to stow and carry, the price is great and it works for most things. If you are moving furniture or appliances, this is NOT the handtruck for you, but if you are doing smaller things a lot, this one is super.
