Online Barcode Scanner
Read any common barcode with your camera or from a picture: shop barcodes (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E), logistics codes (Code 128, Code 39, ITF-14, Codabar, GS1 DataBar) and 2D codes (QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec). The type is shown with the text, and product numbers get a button to check the check digit.
It runs in your browser, so pictures and camera images never leave your device. Test the barcodes you made with the barcode generator before printing, or read many pictures at once with the bulk barcode reader.
Or choose, drop or paste a picture
PNG, JPG, WebP or a screenshot. The picture stays on your device.
If a barcode will not scan
- Keep the camera parallel to the label and about 10 to 25 cm away; tilt a little to avoid glare.
- Bars need to be dark on a light background with empty space on both sides (see the contrast checker).
- Very thin bars (small or low resolution prints) need a sharper picture. Check the size with the size calculator.
- Numbers with 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits can be checked with the barcode validator.
