ZPL Label Generator for Zebra Printers
Zebra and many other thermal label printers read ZPL, a plain text language. Enter one value per line, choose the label size and barcode type, and copy or download the ZPL for all labels. Nothing is sent to our server: the code is made in your browser.
Not sure which size or bar width to use? See the barcode size calculator. For a printed sheet or PDF instead, use Print Label / PDF.
Good to know
- ZPL uses dots, not millimeters. A 50 x 30 mm label is 400 x 240 dots on a 203 dpi printer.
- For 203 dpi use a bar width of 2 or 3 dots. For 300 dpi use 3 or 4 so the bars stay sharp.
- Characters that ZPL treats as commands (^ ~ _ and a backslash) are escaped for you.
- Always print one test label before a large run. Different printers have their own offsets.
