QR Code Error Correction Tester
Every QR code carries extra data so it can still be read when part of it is dirty, torn or covered by a logo. How much extra is the error correction level: L, M, Q or H. A higher level survives more damage but needs more squares, so the code gets denser and must be printed larger to scan from the same distance.
Type your own text below and see all four levels side by side. Then make the final code with the bulk QR code generator or style it with the QR code styling tool, and check the size you need with the QR size calculator.
Which level should I choose?
- L (7%) for codes shown on a screen or printed clean and large.
- M (15%) for most printed material. This is the usual default.
- Q (25%) for stickers on products that are handled, or when you add a small logo.
- H (30%) when a logo covers the middle, or for outdoor and industrial labels. Test it, because the code gets dense.
The percentage is how much of the code can be unreadable and still decode, in the best case. Damage in the three corner squares is worse than damage elsewhere.
