GS1 Digital Link QR Code Generator

A GS1 Digital Link is an ordinary web address that also says what the product is: /01/ is the GTIN, /10/ the batch, /21/ the serial number, and 17= the expiry date. One QR code can then serve both the checkout scanner and a customer's phone, which is why retailers plan to move from classic barcodes to QR codes on packaging.

This tool checks the GTIN check digit, puts the parts in the order the standard asks for, and encodes special characters. The code is only useful if the web site in the address answers it (shows product information or redirects).
